cupping sedates the Central Nervous System, and when that major messaging system is relaxed and sedated, the body can more easily harmonize, adjust biological rhythms and bring itself into more optimal balance and functioning. Cupping involves placing glass or plastic cups creating a vacuum by suctioning out the air. The underlying tissue is raised partially into the cup. The purpose of cupping is to enhance circulation, help relieve pain, remove "heat" and pull out the toxins that linger in your body's tissues.
